Dukan Diet Recipe: Cabbage with Lean Chicken Sausages If you miss some vegetables in Dukan Diet, here’s a recipe for you. This is a one-pot soup-like dish. Easy to prepare, very nourishing, 100% Dukan Diet compliant.

Recommended in Phase II (PV) and Phase III. Despite not being made of pure protein rich foods, this dish contains very little carbs, no fat and some significant amounts of protein.

Recipe: Dukan Diet Cabbage with Lean Chicken Sausages

Summary: Very nutritious dish, low-carb with a fair share of protein rich chicken sausages.

Ingredients

  • 1 head of young cabbage
  • 350 g (13 oz) of extra-lean chicken cured meat (ham or sausages)
  • 1 small piece of cooked beef
  • 2-3 tsp of tomato concentrate
  • 1 onion
  • 1 grain of allspice (pimento), bay leaf
  • 1 stock broth cube or salt
  • Black pepper
  • 1 bunch of dill-weed
  • 1 tbsp of cornmeal (to thicken the sauce / optional)

Instructions

  1. Dukan Diet Recipe Cabbage with Chicken Sausages: Shredding the Cabbage

    Shred cabbage into stripes.

    Peel the cabbage of its outer leaves. Shred the rest, put into a pot.

    Put the cabbage into a pot

    Pour some cold water into pot, boil it and then drain it.
  3. Dukan Diet Recipe Cabbage with Chicken Sausages: Boiling Cabbage

    Boil the cabbage first.

    Pour some fresh water again (3/4 of the pot or less). Not too much, we do not make soup here. Add salt (or stock cube), allspice and bay leaf. Let it boil over medium heat.
  4. Dukan Diet Recipe Cabbage with Chicken Sausages: Frying the Sausages

    Fry the sausages with onions and spices.

    Cut chicken sausages and onion into cubes. Fry on a non-sticking pan until brown.

    Looks nice already, huh?

    Put everything into your pot.
  6. Dukan Diet Recipe Cabbage with Chicken Sausages: Adding condiments

    Add condiments and spices.

    Add condiments (like dill-weed or whatever you like).
  7. Dukan Diet Recipe Cabbage with Chicken Sausages: Adding Tomato concentrate

    Add some tomato concentrate

    Boil for another half an hour or so. At the end add tomato concentrate.
  8. Dukan Diet Recipe Cabbage with Chicken Sausages: Thickening

    Thicken the dish with some cornmeal.

    You can thicken the dish with a tbsp of cornmeal. Mix cornmeal with some cold water (in a bowl), add some boiling water, mix again and pour it to your pot. Turn off the heat as soon as it starts boiling again.

I tried the 3-day fruit flush but it gets expensive and it takes me like a week of tying till I really get fed up with myself and go going hoe with it, even if I feel really l fat. Its just hard for me but delicious with all the fruit I get to eat. But it’s just hard not to eat a snack with actual substance and full flavor here and there when I get really hungry. I want to try this diet because it seems easier than that. is there any substitutes for some of the foods listed in recepies?

This is very interesting, a diet with meat and other stuff. I always thought of a diet as more water/liquid based. I think I eat better that this diet on a regular basis but I think my problem is after reading this is having water retention and not eating enough protein. Do you this these problems would help me with that? I mostly eat lentils and vegetables but am not at the weight I would like to be at. I was looking for a dikon diet based on what I saw an episode from Dr.Oz. I’m no expert but now that I think about it, I guess you can base any diet on any vegetable though.(?) In fact I like the idea of this but I don’t really eat meat that much and sausage, especially bacon is meat that I hate. Can I use tofu instead and the dikon vegetable instead of cabbage? I’m my sure how correctly spell (dikon/dioukon)?

Chicken sausage? i thought we couldnt eat sasuage. also in pic it looks
like bacon fat???

This recipe has been taken from a cooking blog of my Polish friend. I named that chicken product sausage ’cause I couldn’t find a better name for it. In fact it is sth like a non-fat chicken ham or sth. The label says it has almost no fat, no carbs, and high in protein.
